A message from Kevin Curley...
I am running for Mayor because my vision for this City
is one of hope and prosperity. By restructuring local government,
creating accountability and performance measurements for
all city departments, and fostering partnerships with Montpelier
and local businesses, my administration will ease the burden
on Burlington property-tax payers by bringing new revenues
into the city coffers. I will do what is necessary to produce
a balanced budget and not provide services we cannot pay
for.
My background has prepared me for the work ahead. I am
a lifelong Burlington resident, and will work for this City,
as I have for my family my whole life, with dedication,
commitment and passion.
As your next Mayor I will partner to bring new, high-paying
jobs to Burlington, I will work hard to create private/public
partnerships that will redefine how the city does business.
I will work to create not just affordable housing, but housing
that is affordable.
My administration will be a model for honesty, integrity,
and transparent operations. As Mayor, my department heads
will be charged with reconnecting with their customers,
you the public, to ensure that we are delivering the best
service possible.
I seek your support at the polls on March 7, 2006 and look
