In this picture you can see the frame for the two-level staircase,
as well as the first landing and supports. You can see where
the garden shed will eventually be built underneath the landing
(see the finished project photos).

Two other views of the two-flight staircase during construction.
You can see where the landing at the top will be built, just
outside the already existing deck.

In this photo I am adding the stair treads to the frame. There
is also a better view of the framing under the first landing
which will be the future garden shed (see the finished project
photos).

Here is a photo of the landing at the top of the staircase.
A railing was also added (see the finished project photos).
Noodle the cat approves, since he is one of the reasons this
project took place.

House :: After |

This bulkhead project consisted of re-framing an existing
foundation. The old structure was made of plywood and needed
to be removed and replaced. (The metal doors were also replaced.)

I built it, and Jeffrey (pictured) approves as he relaxes
on the landing of his personnel stairway to the back ward.
Pre-fabricated copper capping on the top of each 4 X 4 post
adds an elegant touch to the railing.

It was added as an addition to an already existing deck shown

What a wonderful way to spoil your cats. . . have their own
stairway built so they can access the fenced-in back yard!!!
These stairs and connecting porch above are both constructed
of cedar wood. A unique space-saving garden shed was built
under the first landing of stairway. An extra exit from the
second floor adds safety and value to any home.
